The Journal of Software, Informatics, and Interactions (JSII) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the ethical publishing policies of UPM Press and adheres to internationally recognized best practices, including the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Publishing Principles
All submitted manuscripts are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, quality of research, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or any form of research misconduct.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are expected to:
  • Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere
  • Properly acknowledge and cite all sources used in the manuscript
  • Present research findings accurately and honestly
  • Ensure that all listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
  • Evaluate manuscripts fairly, objectively, and confidentially
  • Provide constructive feedback based on academic merit
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest
  • Report suspected ethical concerns or research misconduct
  • Refrain from using unpublished information for personal or professional benefit
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
  • Making impartial and independent editorial decisions
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
  • Managing conflicts of interest appropriately
  • Addressing ethical concerns in a timely manner
  • Safeguarding the integrity of the peer review and publication process
Ethical Oversight
JSII actively promotes responsible research and publication practices. Allegations of ethical misconduct will be investigated in accordance with the journal’s policies and the ethical guidelines of UPM Press. Where necessary, matters may be referred to relevant institutional authorities for further review.
The journal remains committed to preserving the integrity, credibility, and trustworthiness of the scholarly record.
